ABOUT MELINDA

PROGRAM LEADER

I am a survivor of multiple sexual traumas beginning at age 3 and continuing thru early adulthood. I have 50+ years experience with sexual trauma and it's aftermath and 30+ years professional experience working with children and parents, helping bridge the gap in communication and helping parents better understand their children.

This program allowed me to experience a powerful self-discovery journey where I shed my fear, worthlessness, and self-doubt. I ditched the “mask” and show the REAL ME and step into a life of love, happiness, and a deep feeling of inner-peace I never knew was possible.

My Mission

As a woman who has suffered sexual molestation and abuse from age 3 through early adulthood, my mission in life is to empower trauma survivors to connect to their childhood innocence, inspire them to love their life and transform their intense suffering into powerful action.

My Story

As a survivor of sexual molestation and abuse starting at age 3, I understand the crushing weight of trauma and carry strong passion for helping others recover from its devastating impact. Why?? I have lived that impact: the feelings of fear, worthlessness, self-doubts, the constant anxiety, feeling empty, looking out from behind a “mask”, exhausted from constantly being “on guard”, on meds just to get through the day and constantly questioning life.

I now feel at ease and I truly enjoy my life! I have an amazing relationship with my husband, love being a step-mom & grandmother, and most of all, I Love Being Me! Now I am here to guide you through the same, exact step by step program so you, too, can achieve the fun-loving, joy-filled life that you want and deserve. As a survivor of sexual molestation and abuse over 10+ years, my mission in life is to share the reality that peace and joy are possible despite any trauma you may have endured. It starts with connecting to your childhood innocence - remembering who you were before the hurt was introduced - and embracing that person again, regardless of what happened to you.

Before I took this program I was at a very low point in my life.
On the outside things looked great! People saw a successful woman with a good business, good marriage, great kids, nice house, lots of friends – what could be wrong?? But inside I was empty! I wasn’t happy. It was all just a false front! I was emotionally "numb"! I was secretly asking... no, Begging for something to change, because I knew in every cell of my body, I could no longer keep going the way it was. I was miserable inside! I had had it! I was tired living my life as a charade, exhausted with the constant surveillance just to feel “safe”. Then I met Jeff Carlisle, creator of the Finding Freedom Program. You see, I was originally a client, just like you, not knowing where to turn. I desperately wanted something to change, yet I felt like I was stuck in cement. I met Jeff and I did this very program years ago, and it changed every aspect of my life. Through this course, I learned to look with new eyes and become aware of patterns and behaviors that I had never before seen in myself. This new awareness allowed me to uncover and release hidden triggers that had been limiting my interactions for years!

I found that I was projecting my unhealed wounds onto my husband, children and friends. I had not realized how often I was doing that, or how damaging that was to my daily interactions with everyone! After this program, my relationships across the board have become immensely better, both at home and at work. Through this deep, inner journey I was able to recognize the constant inner dialogue of negative self-talk. I was so mean to myself! I would say things to myself I would never say to anyone out loud! It was awful, and it was constant! I am so grateful to say that running negative dialogue is NO LONGER there! I learned, and now share with others, the discovery of how we all have the ability to choose how we respond to things. That awareness was priceless to me and positively impacted all areas of my life! This new awareness allowed me the space to grow in self-love and self-compassion - both for my "adult self", and also my traumatized "child self" inside me. What I love to share with others is the ability to be genuinely HAPPY! To be able to have a true, from the heart, belly laugh and not fake it!! These awarenesses have allowed me to not only break the generational cycle of abuse, but to also model being the active creator of my life for my children, grandchildren, friends, coworkers and everyone I come into contact with. I am so grateful to be able to lead others through this program so that they also can enjoy the deep sense of joy and peace that comes with it.
